This month’s prompt takes us into some more personal territory as we give you Longing for your February and March challenge.
There are so many ways to interpret this prompt: from simple wistful wishes to ardent romantic longing, to the complicated emotions that come when something is just out of our metaphorical reach or gone for good.
Will you give us the Dwarves, longing for the glory of Belegost, the magnificence of Khazad-dûm, the austere stronghold of lost Erebor?
Or the dispossessed Noldor, longing for their home across the sea? Or the sea-longing itself, taking root in the hearts and souls of the Elves of Arda? Or the reborn Elves waiting for their lost friends and relatives to leave Mandos halls?
Or shall you take us to the realms of men, long without a king, dwindling from the glory of their past.
Perhaps the longing is for an adventure, a change of venue, a new beginning?
Longing for safety, for protection, for love, for a time gone by–where will you take us this month? We can't wait to find out!
