As we start a new year, our January and February prompt is Distance.
Will you take that idea and use it for a story about travels in Middle-earth? What adventures lie in distant lands? Or across the sea? Will the travel be for war, for trade, for pleasure?
Distance can also be about being apart, being physically separated, having a relationship falter or diminish. Or someone may keep their distance for very personal reasons, for protection, for secrecy.
There is a distance that comes from reflecting on an old life or returning to a place that once was so familiar but is no longer.
There are so many directions you can take with this prompt, and we can’t wait to share this month's stories!
