Our prompt for November/December is Over the River. This could be a prompt about travel in a general sense or about the mystery and wonder of what lies beyond the boundaries we know. A hobbit child may wonder what lies beyond the Brandywine. How did the river in Mirkwood become enchanted? What secrets have the Fords of the Bruinen held? The Anduin winds it’s way through land but also through so much history. The prompt can also be taken further—as in building a bridge over a river. Literally, as in the fatal decision to build a bridge over the river Narog in the Silmarillion. Or figuratively—travel over rivers, along rivers, the idea of what lies beyond one’s view, one’s scope, one’s boundaries. We look forward to where you take us with this prompt. Please vote HERE for your favorite of our two entries! Voting will be open until January 15. Happy Reading! Carawyn, lotrfan, and Sian22
