March marks the beginning of the New Year in Middle-earth--a time for Celebration, which is our theme for this challenge!
Will you write a story of the New Year revolving around a hobbit family gathering or a tale focusing on the relief of an entire continent at the defeat of Sauron and the ushering in of a New Age.
A birthday celebration like Bilbo's eleventy-first or perhaps a hobbit's coming of age party?
A Valinorean wedding?
Perhaps the feast of Mereth Aderthad, the event marking the coming together of the Eldar in Beleriand.
Celebrations can be small--a reunion of old friends--or large, such as the wedding of Aragorn and Arwen.
How will you choose to mark the turning of the season, the promise of new growth, the new MIddle-earth year holding such mystery and promise?
We can't wait to see your stories for our March/April challenge and how you choose to celebrate Middle-earth!
The deadline for submitting your story will be April 30.

Unfortunately, we have again had no entries!
We're growing a little concerned... We of course understand things are very uncertain these days, and that many of us likely are struggling to find the mental and emotional energy to write. Are themes not appealing? Is the new format causing confusion? If you have concerns, questions, or suggestions for what we can do to improve the challenge and increase our participation we would love to hear from you! Our goal has always been to be a place to inspire quality fanfiction, and we hope to continue the contest, but if it is no longer serving this purpose there seems to be little point in it.
You are welcome to leave a message in the Suggestions board here or to send an email to teitho.contest@gmail.com!
