Many countries celebrate fathers in the month of June. This is why our theme for this month is "Father and Son".
Since the beginning of time, wisdom, knowledge, lore and love have been passed from father to son. In sadder cases, hanging onto family feuds, abuse, and consequences have been among the sins of the father that have been visited upon their sons. Regardless, fathers carry great weight in the development of a young man, even when the father figure is not the biological sire. This theme has always been heralded in Tolkien’s world.
The wealth of potential storylines is staggering: you could explore Thranduil and Legolas’ relationship, or show us how well Elrond fathers his many-times nephew, Aragorn. We have Denethor and his sons to play with, as well as Aragorn and Eldarion, or maybe Celeborn and Elrond as father- and son-in-law. You could truly stretch your thoughts and imagine the family life of an orc father and son pair.
As always, we look forward to seeing the tales you spin. Also, Aragorn and Legolas do not have to be main characters, but at least one of them has to be mentioned within your story.
