The theme for August is Bonds. It's a little different formulation of the "Relationships" challenge, which was a suggestion of Harlindon.
So, why? Because bonds are relationships: those invible bonds between people, connecting them by the same blood, by friendship or by love. Those bonds can be even forged by force, like the power of the rings binding Sauron's nine servants. There can even be a bond between enemies, created by their obsession to defeat each other. But they can also be the literal bonds, preventing movement: ropes or shackles. Sometimes even a relationship can feel like those shackles.
So where is the line between bonds and freedom? With those literal bonds it's easy, but one can also be bound by honour or duty. And bonds with loved ones can strengten one's will, but also weaken it in a critical moment. One can react very differently to danger when it's not him, but a loved one who is threatened. It is a very broad topic, and you can use it in any way or meaning for Aragorn or Legolas.
