Amrod and Amras, Elrond and Elros, Elladan and Elrohir, Boromir and Faramir... there are many pair of brothers in the history of Middle-earth. This month, you can explore that special bond and relation between them: a part of sibling rivalry and a part of brotherly love.
The relationship doesn't have to be between two brothers, though: Finrod was a brother to Galadriel and Eómer to Eówyn. Big brother and little sister? It may have looked like that, but it may not. Sometimes the relationships can be rather surprising...
But the topic doesn't have to be about blood siblings, either. Some brothers can be adopted, like Estel to Elladan and Elrohir, and some share that special bond even without any official relation. Soldiers from the same unit, or rangers from the same partol, come to perceive each other as brothers through shared toil and blood, just like two close friends can feel the same brotherly love as true siblings.
