Their King has gone,
their Queen has followed
her heart's blue night,
no stars, no light
as her love true
is wrapped and shrouded,
mists have fallen before her eyes

Their King has gone,
their Queen has followed
and gone afar,
lone heart, no star
will shine again
for her gaze darkened,
grief has taken up all her life

Their King has gone,
their Queen has followed
for sadness reigns,
fills all her veins
forevermore,
sad sighs do echo,
into wood has she borne her night

Their King has gone,
their Queen has followed,
and cold the stones
as white as bones
so sadly wail
in wind's wild moaning,
inside the walls they surely grieve

Their King has gone,
their Queen has followed,
the Evenstar
has faded far,
become dark night
upon naith lying,
and Gondor feels a Winter's breath.
